Ajanta Packaging opens plant in Thailand
Ajanta Packaging has extended its footprint into Thailand with the opening of its fourth facility.
The Indian label printer has existing plants in India and the UAE, and views Thailand as offering opportunity for growth.
The facility in Amata City started production in February 2014, and features an Ivasaki offset press and a Nilpeter MO flexo combination press bought at Labelexpo Europe. The Nilpeter is a highly customized 10-color press with features such as gravure, hot foil, cold foil and screen printing.
The plant will allow for Ajanta Packaging to grow, although managing director Chandan Khanna has not ruled out the possibility of buying more land in the area. Growing at a rate of 15 to 20 percent year-on-year, Ajanta Packaging is looking at various geographies within India and other countries for further expansion in 2015.
