Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury confirms UniXcode as name of unique coding technology
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury has confirmed the trademark for its previously announced unique coding technology for lids and shrink sleeves, which will be known as UniXcode going forward.
UniXcode has been developed by Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury, formerly Chadwicks of Bury, to offer a unique code printed on the lid or shrink sleeve, which is only revealed when the lid or sleeve is peeled back. Neither the quality of the design or functionality of the lid or shrink sleeve are compromised, and because the ink is not printed in direct contact with the product there is no risk of product contamination.
UniXcode offers an ‘innovative and cost-effective’ printing technology that can be used for various applications including competitions, traceability and counterfeiting. John Chadwick, managing director of Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury, said: ‘Securing the registered trademark for UniXcode is important to us as it provides customers with a product that can be easily recognized and distinguished from our competitors. It will provide customers with added value for very little extra cost. Customers are always looking for new ways to market their products and differentiate them from the competition and this new technology will enable them to do so.
