TCPL orders three more KBA Rapida 106

India’s TCPL Packaging has invested in three more KBA Rapida 106 medium format sheet-fed offset presses, less than a year since its last investment.

Saket Kanoria, CEO of TCPL Packaging, (third left) and the company’s management team with representatives from KBA and IPM, ordered three further Rapida 106 with a total of 26 printing and finishing units
These presses will join the four medium format Rapidas with six to eight inking units, coater and logistics system, already in operation.

The first new Rapida will begin its journey to the TCPL plant in Silvassa in autumn 2016. It features seven inking units and two coaters, produces conventionally as well as with UV inks and coating, and will be embedded in pile logistics.

A 6- and a 7-color Rapida 106 with coater are expected to follow in early 2017. One will go to the company’s plant in Haridwar and the location for the other has not yet been decided. TCPL Packaging operates three sheet-fed offset sites. The third is in Guwahti.

TCPL Packaging stated that the main reasons for the new investment in KBA sheet-fed offset presses are their high output, the support offered by KBA and sales partner IPM, and KBA’s recognized position in UV production.
