X-Rite becomes ColorCert distributor

Sold exclusively by X-Rite, Esko and authorized dealers, ColorCert: X-Rite Edition delivers process control for monitoring and managing color across a large and diverse supply chain, and is intended to simplify color communication from the artwork phase of projects through separation, the ink room and pressroom.

The ColorCert: X-Rite Edition will be available directly through X-Rite, the company’s network of authorized dealers in the Americas and Europe, and Esko for all brand offerings. Current ColorCert customers will be managed through X-Rite.

Working in collaboration with Nelissen Consulting of Germany to issue the ColorCert 2.0: X-Rite Edition, the company is leveraging its expertise in color measurement and management to offer complete closed loop reporting that cover every aspect of color definition and control in package production. ColorCert provides procurement and brand owners with a dashboard, presenting supplier scorecards for monitoring the production process across the supply chain. Printers, pre-press, pre-media and ink manufacturers can validate their own work in real-time.

ColorCert 2.0: X-Rite Edition is a scalable solution that has applications for large converters or those printers consolidating and wishing to drive consistency across various geographies. X-Rite said the package strengthens color communication within operations at a converter, as well as real-time job sharing between all shareholders including pre-media, pre-press, ink manufacturers and brand owners. Converters can use ColorCert 2.0: X-Rite Edition to consolidate color performance programs across locations and offer advanced reporting capabilities to brands.
