Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging completes Eagle Cold Foil Certification course
Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging has successfully completed its Eagle Cold Foil Certification (ECFC) course.
ECFC was introduced by Eagle Systems earlier this year, as reported here, and is intended to ensure those using Eagle Systems’ cold foil technology can produce products of a higher quality and generate a greater return on their investment.
The comprehensive eight-hour program is not only geared towards improving production understanding and techniques of press operators, but incorporates the executive management level, ensuring that each Eagle Cold Foil user garners both higher quality and greater ROI.
Glenmore operations manager Stefan Congram confirmed this is the experience his company has had, and said: ‘We first installed our Eagle cold foil system in June 2015 and it has lived up to every promise made by [Eagle Systems president] Mike King. We’ve learned to not only respect Mike but trust him. When he suggested the class for our operation we knew we’d reap significant benefits.’
ECFC is conducted at the user’s production facility to ensure all real-world factors and influences are incorporated. Eagle Systems has designed a unique test form, designed for failure, to run off each applicant’s system. The press is then finite-tweaked to maximize performance out of each operation’s adhesives, foils and blankets. One of the end results is the elimination of former process obstacles, such as pin-holing and mud cracking.
‘In mid-July, Eagle Systems conducted the ECFC at our Richmond facility’ continued Congram. ‘It’s an understatement to say it’s thorough, but more importantly it’s effective. The press staffers now have an in-depth working knowledge and understanding of the cold foil process. Not just the whats, as in what to do, but the whys and hows. Our people are now as dialed in as our system is.
‘We are reaping the rewards every single shift with faster make-readies and noticeable quality jumps. The class, as promised by Mike, was well worth the investment in time and resources.’
