The press comprises a total of 11 units and is the longest sheet-fed offset press installed at the company. The additional installation of a cold foil module is in the pipeline.

Rehan Shafi Siddiqui and Zeeshan Mustafa Shafi Siddiqui, directors and the second generation representatives at Deluxe Packages, said: ‘We were looking to invest in the latest technology, and the Rapida 106 was a logical choice. Our confidence in KBA and the local sales team from Imprint Packaging Solutions was paramount in this decision.’

The press features printing units for spot colors and the double coating facility for multiple coatings and UV finishes. The press is prepared for mixed conventional production. It has 450mm raised foundations and incorporates accessory packages for both board and plastic printing. Automation functionality includes fully automatic FAPC plate changers, CleanTronic multi washing systems for the alternating use of different ink systems, and CleanTronic UV.

The commissioning of the Rapida 106 will expand Deluxe Package’s substrate flexibility into plastic packaging and production on metalized board with an opaque white primer.

Deluxe Packages occupies more than 43,560 sq ft of production space at its existing premises. A new factory adds a further 174,240 sq ft. The company operates a two-shift system and prints around 35 million sheets per year. With more than 150 employees, it generates an annual turnover of around 5.5 million USD.
