Vinograf installs GM DC330FBSC finishing line

Chile’s Vinograf has installed and commissioned a GM DC330FBSC finishing line with hot stamping and screen printing modules as it targets the market for premium labels for the export of Chilean wines.

As well as hot stamping and screen printing modules, the line includes flexographic varnishing with registration for cold foil, cast and cure and semi-rotary die-cutting

GM’s Latin American office, which operates out of Santiago, Chile and is headed by Jos Kabouw, sold the line, as announced during Labelexpo Europe 2015.

Entrepreneur Fernando Aravena has established Vinograf to focus on premium labels for the export of Chilean wines. Aravena is well-known in the Latin American labeling industry from running label printing operations in Argentina and Peru, and now in Chile.

GM sent two engineers to Chile to support Kabouw in the installation, and preliminary tests and first reactions from the client are said to be ‘overwhelmingly positive’. The line was ready to go into full production after two days of installation and training.
